Description

As one of the first Inns to be certified under Maine’s Environmental Leader Program, the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn provides guests an opportunity to savor the beauty of nature in a retreat-like setting. The area supports a diverse wildlife population including loons, eagles, deer, beaver and even a passing black bear. After your hearty breakfast, enjoy a day of sightseeing or simply swimming, fishing, or canoeing at our lake. We specialize in helping you plan a vacation you will remember for a lifetime. Whatever your interests, we are happy to help you plan a day of outdoor adventure, sight-seeing, shopping or just finding that special place to get a lobster. The Inn is the perfect central location for visiting famous Maine communities such as Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Blue Hill and Camden.

Location

We are located in the area known as Downeast Maine. Downeast encompasses the southeastern coastline from Bucksport to the Canadian boarder. Acadia National Park with its magnificent views and hiking trails is part of this amazing area. While we are near the gorgeous rocky coastline, we enjoy the beauty of being on a 1200-acre lake. Thus visitors get the opportunity to enjoy both the Maine lake and coast experience.

Advice to our visitors
