Crescent Moon Cabins is an oasis of natural living and savory gourmet dining. Our accomodation is remotely located and simply designed yet we offer the comforts of hot water and delectable meals. All four cabins are perched on a rain forested hillside with spectacular views of the sea and mountains. Our valley is filled with bright bird songs by day and a chorus of frogs by night. Most of our guests are active appreciators of the natural beauty and seek to explore waterfalls, forested hikes, snorkeling, river bathing, birdwatching, and cultural exchanges. Our produce is organically grown on site and prepared by chef/owner Ron Viveralli, a world foods afficiando trained by the Culinary Institute of America with over 35 years of experience. Our juices, teas, and coffee are all locally grown and bring a taste one can only experience close to the source. We keep chickens and goats for eggs and dairy as well as their contributions to our organic cycle of produce production. Becuase of our remote location we have many examples of self reliance and creative engineering such as ram pumps, food smokers, and plant oil distillers, that contribute to the education of our visitors.

Location

Situated in the center of the nature island, Dominica, we are located in the quiet countryside yet can access the capital city Roseau within 30 minutes drive. We are at the end of a mountainous valley road in the foothills of morne trois pitons, dominica's second tallest mountain. Our elevation is 1800 feet with spectacular views of the caribbean sea, sunsets and moon sets. Our cabins are situated within tree ferns and ornamental tropical flowers above our greenhouse, orchard, and farm with an outline of forested mountain ridges.

Advice to our visitors

Crescent Moon Cabins is located in the mountains and therefore we do have cool breezy nights. We recommend our guests to bring a long sleeve top, rain gear, and flashlights. We provide linens and homemade soap.
