Description

Long Hill Bed & Breakfast sits on 20 acres in a rural setting with woods and open land. Certified by the National Wildlife Federation we provide shelter, nesting, food, and water for wildlife. While at breakfast guests enjoy watching some twenty kinds of birds at the many feeders. The goldfish pond offers a cool and calming spot for enjoying a bit of rest and relaxation. Deer and squirrels are often seen. We have a vegetable garden and a small fruit garden which features strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. We serve fresh produce in season.

Location

The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is known world-wide for its history and natural beauty. Running north/south between the blue ridge and allegheny mountains the valley provides miles of hiking trails, bird watching opportunities, scenic drives, and the Shenandoah River which flows north to meet the Potomac River at Harper's Ferry, wv, is the perfect place for fishing and canoeing.

Advice to our visitors

Our advice for visitors is to bring your stress and leave it here. We have very few bothersome insects. Sunscreen may be needed while enjoying our large swimming pool. There are hiking trails and horseback riding available in the area. Numerous french and indian, revolutionary and civil war sites can be visited. The museum of the shenandoah valley is one of the best on the east coast and is open every day of the year except monday.
