Description

The C. W. Worth House is the longest continuously operating bed and breakfast in Wilmington. We have been in operation for 25 years. We love Wilmington's pristine waters and nearby eco tourism and are involved with some of the local organizations to protect our area. We recycle everything possible and compost kitchen scraps. We have two rain barrels. We enjoy going to the local farmers market whenever we can. We offer a towel re-use program and have two high efficiency washers. The C. W. Worth House has seven guest rooms with private baths, one with a whirlpool. There are three common sitting rooms, two with TV/VCR/DVD. Free wireless high speed internet is offered. A beautiful back yard with gardens, a rain garden, ponds and a hammock beckon you to relax awhile. A full breakfast is served each morning in the dining room. Your hosts make sure that all your needs are met and will share their favorite things to do and see. Such as the current events, local arts and antique district, live theatre, favorite restaurants and tours. Twice a year there are three day festivals along the riverfront which celebrate our area--The Azalea Festival in April and the Riverfest in October.

Location

The C. W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast is located in Historic Wilmington, in Southeastern North Carolina, along the Cape Fear River and 15 minutes from beautiful beaches. There are many historic homes in this Historic District. There are many tourist attractions, historic tours, boat tours, walking tours. The Screen Gems Studio is located in Wilmington and can be toured on weekends.

Advice to our visitors

Wilmington, North Carolina has an average temperature in the Winter of 40 degrees so it is usually temperate. The summers can get steamy, but still pleasant, especially at the beaches. Check the weather before you arrive for any variations. If you are a birder, bring your binoculars, as there are many sites nearby. Many boating opportunities await you if you want to get out on the water, from tours and charters to sailboats.
