Location

The Tropic of Cochabamba is one of the richest regions in biodiversity of South America, and holds the main ecological reserves worldwide. Its exotic flora and fauna features rare varieties of orchids unique in the planet, beautiful ferns and huge trees that cover the region and are home to beautiful birds of bright colours and fascinating songs, including a singular variety of blind birds called Guacharos. The tropical forests of the jungle in the Chapare appear before the tourist in its full magnificence, and he can see enormous alligators, snakes, jaguars and a diversity of monkeys who often jump from tree to tree and come close to tourists who visit their natural habitat. Macaws and toucans stand out with their beautiful contrasts, and charming butterflies flutter gently through the air.
