This inn is an official Certified Travel Green Wisconsin lodging facility due to its commitment to eco-friendly practices; from reusing wastewater in the gardens, to using local food products whenever possible, including our own apple tree and micro vineyard.
The inn is in an historic home, constructed in 1896. There are three guest rooms offered. Each room has a private bath and free Wi-Fi Internet connection is included. The inn has grown famous for comfortable rooms and especially the delicious food prepared for guests' breakfast. A large, two-course breakfast is included with each night stay for all guests at no additional cost. Your innkeeper wrote some of the local guidebooks detailing area wilderness attractions and is pleased to assist visitors plan their exploration of the area. From the parking area in the back of the inn, guests have direct access to 200 miles of all terrain vehicle trails & 1,000 miles of snowmobile trails.
Among the comforts offered while at the inn are premium cable television in the library with On Demand movies as well as a private collection of more than 500 books. Guest may have use of their room, the library, the living room, parlor and dining room. There is private off-street parking as well as safely lighted parking on the street in front.
From the Anton-Walsh House Bed & Breakfast Inn, you are within easy walking distance to an historic museum, downtown shopping, restaurants and nightlife. For the true hiker, you may even walk to some waterfalls and other great attractions from right here. There are also two live theatre companies nearby with productions at various times of the year.

In downtown Hurley, Wisconsin; within 2 city blocks of Ironwood, Michigan near the vast south shore of Lake Superior and amid the ancient Penokee Mountains and the Gogebic Range surrounded by vast hardwood forests, a northern hemlock rainforest, and more than 30 waterfalls nearby. The inn is located within an hour of Lake Superior's Apostle Islands to the northwest and the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness Area to the northeast; as well four historic Native American settlements. GPS location: 46 degrees 26' 59.59" N - 90 degrees 10' 41.57" W elevation 1,472 feet.

In the spring be prepared for mud from melting snows when hiking to see waterfalls roaring at their peak time of year; this is also the time of year when the Montreal River offers 3 miles of whitewater kayak adventure leading from the base of Saxon Falls to a resevoir above Superior Falls near Lake Superior. During the summer be prepared for moderately warm days to cool nights; everything from swimming the Great Lake Superior to kayak gear, biking gear. In the autum plan for warm to wet days and cooler nights exploring spectacular autum colors in the forests. Winter is high season here with an average snowfall of more than 204 inches; dress warmly to Nordic & Alpine ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, ice fish.
