Isabella Stieger and Andy Hirt, of Swiss origin, are the owners of the Gondwana Inn (Posada de Campo Gondwana) and will be happy to give you a warm welcome to the inn. Gondwana is an ideal place for those seeking rest and relaxation in a private environment and in nature.
Gondwana is a Bed & Breakfast - Hotel. Our standard is 4 . The 4 rooms are located in a beautiful park. All rooms are luxuriously and warmly decorated, and from private terraces one can enjoy the excellent view over the countryside and the river. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, hair dryer, minibar and a kettle for coffee, tea and mate (local tasty drink).
From the cozy restaurant terrace you can enjoy an unparalleled view: the great salt water pool in the beautiful park of 1 hectare, pasture for horses, our small and fine vineyard and the beautiful background of the River Plate .
Our land provides us with lemons, oranges, peaches, apricots, plums, apples, pears and walnuts. Unfortunately we have a great competitor, as all these fruits are the favorite dish of the parrots. Whoever comes first gets the prize!
Gondwana is a paradise for ornithologists and bird watching in general. In large Eucalyptus, Cork Oak, Jacarandas, Ceibos, Mimosas and Acacias live hundreds of birds. The hummingbirds also frequently visit the Jazmines and Santa Ritas flowers.
The colorful sunsets, with the silhouette of the city of Buenos Aires in the background, can be seen as a finishing touch at the end of each day.
In the inn we speak in German, English, French and Spanish, thus, do not hesitate to ask us, as we will be very glad to help you plan and organize your stay.

Colonia del Sacramento is the capital of the province of Colonia, Uruguay. Located on the banks of the River Plate (Río de la Plata), facing Buenos Aires. Its historic neighborhood has been declared in 1995 a World Heritage Site, as it illustrates the successful fusion of the Portuguese, Spanish and post-colonial styles.
Its privileged location, with an extraordinary view over the River Plate (Río de la Plata), gives a special charm to the inn. Our colonial colonial ranch with its vineyards is only 10 km north of the historic city of Colonia del Sacramento. You may reach us from Buenos Aires with the ferryboat from a company named Buquebús in just 50 minutes.
